When i was young, about the age of ten my two brothers and I had this game which my parents bought us. it was called atari. Some time last year my brother who is now 32 years old asked me if i remembered that game atari, i really didnt remember the games but i remembered the name of the games. when i looked at the video we watched in class it really brought back memories when i was young. then i remembred the the games my brother asked me about, i think the reason why i really dont remember the games because, i didnt play with it alot at that time because my brothers didnt want to play with me they just wanted to play with eachother. i guess i grew up thinking it was a boys toy. but i liked playing with donkey kong. i didnt play the ones that were called astroidoids but i remember it now. my brothers liked playing with that. then when nintendo came out with that mario charactor then i liked playing with video games i guess i learned it wasnt just a boys toy…..lol. when i had my first child i bought him those kind of games like the gameboy, nintendo, super nintendo he would fall asleep playing those video games. now my other son has a wii games he hardly plays with it. i dont know if he ever played that game super mario’s bro…..lol. Today i dont play with those video games anymore i find that the games they make today are very violent, kids are also get frustraded when they can’t finish the game or if they get killed in the game. i find that wii game is more active then the one you just sit and hold the controler in your hand. also peple play video games online now like i know lot of poeple play online poker and blackjack, guitar hero, etc..

After reading the article, to tell the truth i didnt read everything in this article. I only read some parts of it. I think social network sites are very popular in world wide web. I raelly dont know much about these webside some of them i never heard of before.  its not that long ago when i had my first computer at home. at first I really did not know how to use it. I never had some kind of training or something still today im still learning, but i have notice ever since we had this computer my children have been learning about things on it. for example my son really hard time reading and writing before but when we bought the computer he started chatting with orther friends using msn he started to learn how to write really fast i guess by seeing other how they write, also he was reading. my daugther was only 12 when we got the computer she learned very fast i think she learned more then my son did beacause she was very good in school, she would sometimes teach my son things on the net, my son was older then her, then they both had sign up for bebo, bebo is one of popular in our cree communitie, youtube is anoter one. I have noticed my two teens ever since we had network they know or communicate with other teen in different areas, my daugther even chatted with a girl from , she learn a thing or two from her, exchanging information to eachother. i think these social network sites help the teen learn about whats going on in this world, there are some sites that are educational, they can do reseach on the internet but there are some sites are not to good to login, like the free porn they have on the net, stuff like that. anyway i think there is learning from the social network sites and they get alot ofknowledge from it

Q : Do you think the media is powerful and why?

In the old days native people have been  with one camp to another in many different ways. I have heard of one way of native people used to communicated in the old days, well not just one way but a few i guess i woud say. they didn’t use the technology we use today they used the land to communicate. thats why native people say the land is important to them. but that was back then. back in 1800’s  was the person who first in vented telegraph , it was the first communication development. after 200 years later the media is very powerful. because of the new technology. people use media to communicate in different ways. there are many ways we can communicate with our families and friends now. i think the media is very powerful because of the new technology they they have invented the radio, telephones, newpaper, new report on television, cell phones, computers, text messaging over the cell phone, msn on the computer. not just the communicating. In general, “media” refers to various means of communication. althought with these many different types of media ” medium” i think it can be negative and possitive in a way. the possitive of this new technology is children learn more about the world and whats going on in this world, also it helps them learn on how to read write ect… well im focusing on our native children. the negative ways for native students are they are being expost to other things that are not really good for them to know.

anyway i never really thought about this before until now….lol
